Travel and Transport in February.

Our theme for February was Travel and Transport.

We learned the names of so many vehicles.

We constructed vehicles using egg cartons. Here they are up on the wall.

We recorded our journey to school.

We made fabric and fibre boats.

We  played in the travel agents during Aistear.

We made some great vehicles during Junk Art.

We also played with the cars and garage in our small world.

We drew vehicles in our copies.

We sorted vehicles into old vehicles and new vehicles.
We also sorted vehicles depending on where they travel - road, air, tracks or sky.

World Book Day

We celebrated World Book Day on Thursday the 3rd of March.

Some of the children brought in their favourite books.

We took part in DEAR time.

DEAR means Drop Everything And Read.

We wrote "I like books." in our copies.

Teacher read one of her favourite stories to us. It is called "A Squash and a Squeeze."
